Married | Katie & Ryan

Katie and Ryan could not have chosen a more beautiful day to get married. Fall in Missouri is absolutely stunning. The trees looked like they were on fire and the weather was perfect. Katie and Ryan had a really neat, intimate ceremony outdoors at Stephens Lake Park in Columbia, Missouri followed by a great party with their closest friends and family. Katie and Ryan, thanks for letting me be a part of your day!!

Katie and Ryan saw each other before the ceremony which let us get some great photos done in amazing light, without the pressure of getting them back to their party. Love this from their first look.

I was so lucky to have an amazing friend and photographer join me to shoot on Saturday. Jess, of Vista Bella Photography in Fort Collins, CO came out to shoot with me and we had a blast together. I love this shot she took. The next two are hers too.

While I shot family portraits, Jess worked at getting these four together. How adorable!

After the recessional, Katie and Ryan stopped at the PERFECT spot to have a little moment together. I couldn't have coordinated it better myself!! Look at that tree!

Married | Julie & Ryan

Julie and Ryan had a beautiful wedding in Coloma, CA last weekend on the American River. Surrounded by their very closest friends and family they celebrated their relationship and vowed to be partners for life. I've loved getting to know these two and it was a real honor to be a part of their day. Thank you, Julie and Ryan, for asking me to document your marriage. I loved it!

Julie and Ryan opted to see each other before the ceremony started so they could do some portraits in advance as well as family photos. I think it is a great choice as it allows you to get on to your party right away!! This was the very first moment that they saw each other.

About an hour before sunset I let Julie and Ryan know that the light was perfect outside and if they wanted to slip out and take a few more shots, the pictures could be amazing. Good choice, guys :) Making a little time for pictures in the hour before sunset is such a great choice, even if it's only for 15 minutes. The light is so warm, soft, angelic - I could go on and on ....

Love that these two had guitar hero to play at their wedding :)

Married | Kylie & Tyler

I met Kylie & Tyler back in April and could tell that working with them would be a blast. They were newly engaged and were smitten with each other. They described how they were best friends first, and then happened to fall in love :) Their wedding was a perfect celebration of that friendship and now marriage. They obviously have endless amounts of fun together and it was a joy to be a part of their day. Kylie & Tyler, congratulations and have fun in Tahoe!!
