Yoga Portraits | Frances

I have never felt less flexible than I did watching Frances go through her yoga routine as I snapped away. Frances needed some new photos and I was delighted she asked me to shoot for her. Now I'm inspired to make this spring an opportunity to get in better shape and give yoga a go again!

I told Frances that you can't come to a photo session looking this cute and not have a few shots taken of you just looking fabulous!

Kiddos | Noa & Oren

Hanging out with Noa & Oren is an absolute blast. I feel like Oren is still a baby so when he just starts walking around the backyard showing me things, I still can't quite believe my eyes. I've watched Noa grow up too...from an adorable, chubby baby to the smartest kid I've ever met. She may only be 5 but she's so mature and enjoyable to be around. Here are a few quick shots from hanging out with them earlier this week.

I love that belly ;)

Focusing on a kid that is flying straight towards you can be tough. But I actually like that her hair is more in focus than her face on this one - you can tell she's movin'!

Deep thoughts for a 1 year old.

They both have THE most beautiful eyes.

That's right, this kid knows where his nose is. And yours. And his belly. And his teeth...

WPPI 2010

I didn't wear a single dress that I packed. I spent hours trying to decide what to shove in my suitcase for 4 days at this year's WPPI Conference - a gathering of over 10,000 wedding and portrait photographers. Once I had chosen approximately 3 times as many outfits as necessary, I grabbed my bags and headed out for Vegas. I spent four days listening to amazing speakers, catching up with old friends who are now my peers in the photography industry, and eating ridiculously expensive food. I'm so thankful that I was able to soak up so much knowledge and get even more inspired for my 2010 weddings. By 10 pm each night I was completely exhausted from the day and changing into one of the cute dresses sitting untouched in my suitcase just wasn't an option. But it was totally worth it - so here's to an awesome 2010 wedding season and a collection of dresses that still need to be worn!

We stayed at the GIGANTIC MGM. It seriously took 20 minutes to walk from our room to the conference center - which was located IN the hotel.

I've mentioned Jess in previous posts since we've shot a couple weddings together. We were partners in crime this year at WPPI and I loved getting to go to sessions with her and spend dinner trying to process everything we heard. We also realized we needed updated photos for our website (and needed an excuse to take some pictures while in Vegas!). Here are a few I took of Jess.

She'll kill me when she sees this, but I thought it was cute. Walking the strip in heels is for women far more talented than the two of us. We brought our heels along in this neon green bag and only put them on for photos. You have to be practical.

The girl loves her shoes.

Wearing a cute outfit by no means restricts Jess from laying completely flat on the ground.

And now some shots of yours truly. Thanks so much, Jess!!

Other people pull off the "sassy" look way better than I do. I gave it my best shot ;)

Sometimes having a great camera means seeing things you don't normally see - hello grey hairs!!

Thanks again, Jess, for the new photos! Stay tuned for more fun posts to come and my first spring wedding in just a couple more weeks! Remember these two beautiful people? They're next!

Addie & Quinn

On my trip to Missouri to shoot Megan's maternity photos I got to spend a couple days with the cutest kids in the world. My nephew, Quinn, is a little more concerned with Optimus Prime than going out for photo shoots so Addie will got a little more coverage this time. She can't walk yet so she really has no choice. Plus, she wears tutus which are adorable. Here are some shots of my favorite little kids.

Addie may have a tutu but Quinn rocks the Spiderman costume on a regular basis.

Luckily Tia had a day off to play too!

Addie makes this face whenever she's concentrating hard on something!

Addie's a fan of ...eating. This includes her dress.

Have you seen a sweeter family? Matt (my brother), Tia, Addie & Quinn.
