Sonja & Blake are delightful. Since they live in Washington I hadn't met them until their actual wedding day, but their personalities were so open and warm that it felt like I had known them for much longer. These two couldn't have put on a more relaxed, enjoyable and beautiful wedding celebration and it was such a joy to be a part of. Thank you Sonja & Blake for welcoming me into your wedding day and making it so much fun. I loved working with you both. Enjoy your photos!!
The wedding took place at Hidden Villa in Los Altos, CA. I had never shot there before but am dying to go back. The hills are gorgeous and it just feels like such a nice cozy spot for an intimate wedding.
The guests enjoyed absolutely delicious food, catered by Feel Good Foods out of Santa Cruz. Not only was the food amazing but their presentation was stunning!
Blake & Sonja agreed to step out of their reception for about 15 minutes around sunset (which is far earlier with those hills than you would think!) to take a few extra shots as a newly married couple. I think some of my favorites are definitely from this little block of time!
Blake's brother likes to climb mountain so as part of his toast to Sonja & Blake, he used ropes to illustrate his thoughts on a strong partnership.
I love when a groom toasts his bride ;)
Who needs cake when you can have pie!!
Congratulations, Sonja & Blake!!!
