Married | Laura & Jason

Last weekend I headed to San Francisco to photograph Laura and Jason's lovely wedding. We've been in touch for close to a year about their wedding and I've been so excited for it to get here. They had a beautiful and super unique event that truly represented who they were. Thanks, Laura and Jason for inviting me to be a part of your day. Hope you're enjoying Costa Rica!!

Love this shot of Jason and his dad, also his best man, getting ready.

Laura's mom was their officiant which made the ceremony so neat.

Love this ballroom at the Marines Memorial Club in San Francisco.

Stellar entrances all around :)

My first GIVEAWAY!!

I'm so excited to announce the opportunity for all you readers to win something super fabulous. My good friend Kristen, owner of Hoot Design Co., came out with these fantastic baby posters this season and they are the perfect gift for either your own baby's room, your favorite niece or nephew, or a gift to give your friend with a baby on the way.

Hoot Design Co. offers the posters in two styles. You can either have them customize your poster with your own words (see here) or choose the Simply Baby Poster (18" x 26"), which is what we're giving away here (there are 3 color schemes and the winner gets to choose their favorite - see here!). I love these and think they would be a perfect addition to any little one's room. All you have to do is leave a comment in the comments section and I'll randomly choose a winner at the end of next week. Check back to see who the winner is and if it's you, it's your lucky day! The winner will just email me his/her info and we'll get the poster sent your way!

If you're interested in a custom poster - click below to head to Hoot Design Co. and get yours started. Kristen is a fantastic designer (she did my wedding invitations!) and is delightful to work with.

So leave a comment, and you'll be entered to win! If you use an RSS feed just add me using this link and you'll see when the winner is announced. Good luck!

And keep scrolling to check out my latest baby photo shoot with sweet baby Anna!!

Baby Anna

Remember Kristi from a few months ago? Well last time I was home I got to meet her sweet new baby girl and snap a few shots. I just wanted to sit and hold her so it was a challenge to let her go and take some photos but we managed and got some sweet pictures with Anna and her parents. Congratulations, Kristi & Andrew, on your sweet baby girl!

I love this one just for the expression on Anna's face - can't you just hear her saying "Eww, Mom & Dad!"

Had to include this one of Anna and her beautiful aunt Kayla, who happens to be one of my best friends and is coming to visit me in two days!!

And finally, check out Anna's custom "B is for Baby" poster from Hoot Design Co. It's so fun to search the poster for fun words that are special to that family. Nice work, Kristen!

Married | Niki & James

James & Niki's wedding was my first wedding of 2010 and it was a great way to start the year. They are so sweet together and had such a cool, meaningful wedding ceremony and celebration. And to top it all off, the night ended with the wedding party heading to the bowling alley. What can beat that? Not much. Congratulations, Niki & James!!!

I love when brides are the ones doing their bridesmaids' or mom's makeup. Niki did a great job on her mama!!

That's one proud grandma.

James' brother, Billy, is in UC Davis' Band-Uh! and they came by to celebrate right after the ceremony. Such a fun moment! These guys really know how to rock (I'm a former band geek, so I know. Go flutes.)

Before dinner Billy came back with a brass quartet to serenade James and Niki. So cool.

Niki asked all the girls and their mothers to join her and her mom on the dance floor. I definitely appreciate having the excuse of holding a camera up to my face so no one notices when I'm teary-eyed during moments like this.

And on to the bowling. Such a fun night. Congratulations, you two!
