{Married}: Erin & Jason

I think I was beginning to go through withdrawal. It had been several weeks since I had shot a wedding and in those weeks I'd spent hours upon hours thinking and planning my 2010 wedding season. I thought a lot about what I want my photos to say, how to better communicate what love looks like, and how to help my clients remember one of the happiest days of their lives. It was a lot to think about and I just needed to get out and do it.

Erin & Jason's wedding was the perfect day to start this new wedding season: the weather was DIVINE, the exact amount of cloud cover that allows for flawless photos but doesn't seem dreary, the cutest kids ever...more on them below, and the exquisite attention to detail - almost all done by Erin's mother herself. But most importantly, it was a day Erin & Jason have been waiting for 8 years to celebrate. They are already a family, but Saturday was a huge celebration of that fact. And it was delightful. Erin & Jason, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your day. It was the perfect way to start off this wedding season and I'm grateful for knowing both of you.

Those boys. I mean, have you seen cuter kids? They look so much like their parents and are absolutely the sweetest. Later in the night they were busting a move on the dance floor and Aiden, who is 18 months old, just runs over and gives me a hug. My heart melted.

I knew Erin was gorgeous, but on her wedding day, she was spectacular.

Erin & Jason at their first look...a great way to get photos done before your ceremony and off to your party. It's always one of my favorite parts of the day.

Jake wins with this shot. I love what he can get from off to the side when I'm shooting from the front.

Cleaning a little lip gloss off ;)

Oh, the details. Erin's mom MADE this tree. Before the ceremony it held tubes with bubbles, at the reception it held cards on which people could write little notes for Erin & Jason. SO cool!

The first thing they did as a newly married couple - find this little guy and give him a big kiss.

Every time I look at this picture, I laugh. Their nephew was super sweet, but for some reason felt it was necessary to throw up fists for just about every picture ;)

Jake wins again with a beautiful shot to end the post...
