{Married}: Samantha & John

What a weekend! I spent the last few days in Chicago photographing Samantha & John's wedding and had so much fun shooting and catching up with old friends. I hadn't met Sam and John before but my best friend from growing up referred me to them so I knew we would hit it off. They were such a gracious and warm couple. I think they probably thanked me 100 times and John even parked my car for me in the biggest torrential downpour I've probably ever been in the night of the rehearsal dinner. They had a beautiful wedding in a stunning chapel, performed by a particularly excellent minister and topped it off with a super fun reception. Sam & John, I hope you're having so much fun a few miles away in Napa Valley! Congratulations!

Samantha couldn't have picked a cooler salon - love this green wall!!!

They got married on the Elmhurst Campus, where they met several years ago. This is in front of John's dorm!

The guys relaxed outside while the girls worked diligently to figure out how to bustle Sam's dress!

Sam gets serious about dancing...

{Engaged}: Laura & Jason

Last weekend Jake and I met up with Laura & Jason to shoot some engagement photos at the Emeryville Marina. I LOVE the places my couples have been choosing to do photos - so beautiful!! I had never been to the Emeryville marina and it was such a fun place to explore with these two. Laura & Jason have a beautiful winter wedding planned in downtown San Francisco and I can't wait for it to get here. Until then, here are some of their adorable engagement photos!!

{Married}: Larina & Mike

This week I had the honor of shooting Mike and Larina's wedding in Fair Oaks, CA. Hanging out with Mike, Larina and their families was such a treat. Mike and Larina, congratulations on the many years you've spent together and the many more to come! Hope you're having fun in Jamaica!

Her eyes were so blue they seem to jump out of the pictures.

The wedding and reception took place at the Slocum House in Fair Oaks. Beautiful spot for a wedding!

If you've been to Fair Oaks, you know about the chickens. If you haven't you should definitely try to visit. It's pretty wild ;)

Ah, the look on the groom's face when unsure of what his best man is about to say!

This wedding included some serious dancers. We all had a blast. Thanks, Mike & Larina!
