I've discovered that I love shooting weddings because of the joy and happiness I get to be apart of on a couple's special day. Even when they are people I may have only met once - it still feels great to be a part of that and help document it. But this wedding was extra special, because this girl's happiness is my happiness. Kathryn is my best friend from college and I want nothing more for her than for her to have a smile on her face and love in her heart for the rest of her life. She found that with Tim and I couldn't be more happy for them. Editing these pictures was so much fun but also supremely challenging because every shot that they look happy in, to me, is priceless. Luckily Jake helped me chose some of the best and hopefully you all enjoy seeing a glimpse into their wedding day. Apologies for the extra long post - but the girl is my best friend so I think it is warranted :)
Kathryn & Tim, I look forward to sharing our lives together. You are two magnificent people and I am so happy you have found eachother. Congratulations.
Columbia MO brides - Sarah at Salon Adair is awesome. You might recognize her from Maggie's wedding in December!
The weather forecast for Kathryn's outdoor wedding: 70% chance of thunderstorms.
Above: the look on her face when the sun came out 30 minutes before the ceremony would start.
Sweet Ella, Tim & Kathryn's niece, did so well in rehearsal with her flower girl duties but felt that there was a little too much pressure on the actual day. It made for a fun moment though and everyone fell even more in love with this sweet little girl.
I love the looks on their faces - just married!

So even if we were rained out it would have been great - look how awesome this room was. The ceremony and reception were both at Alpine Park and Gardens north of Columbia, MO. Beautiful location.
Here's Ella in a better mood. I love that Kathryn had time to sing itsy, bitsy spider with Ella on her wedding day.
No words needed. This boy can dance.
Jake second shot with me and this is one of my absolute favorites shots from the day - all his!
I love every single shot! I got on here as soon as I got your text. You've really captured the day. I love Kathryn's smile in each picture! She's so happy! Hooray!! You are the absolute best!
